Ok so I got my new 235/70/R16 B.F. Goodrich T/A KOs put on the Mickey Thompson rims I picked up. Got $680 in the wheels and tires. Anyway, they rub just a little on the bumper, where it mounts to the round bumper part of the frame. considering just cutting it and moving the mounts in about 6.5" any other suggestions?

Get an aftermarket bumper like a Zor subspeed and cut the brackets off. Then re enforce the frame tube by putting a piece of pipe inside it.

I don't really have the money to buy one but I could make one if I had to

Ok I got the trimming done, just left the mounts where they were and trimmed the back side of the tube about 2" just enough to keep from rubbing, tested it on some ditches and hills and it hasn't rubbed yet even while turning

We did the same on an older SJ my brother had. Just got rid of the bumper caps and trimmed it up. Sometimes you will have to tap down the ridge in the fender well, but that can be done well with a hammer and some time.
