Title: cam shaft seal install

I tried to install a cam shaft seal on a 1.3 samurai today. Much to my suprise the seal went all the way in, There was nothing to stop it on the head. Is this normal? Should I push it in until it is flush or is something missing? It seems to me the seal should bottom out on something.

Yep, nothing to stop it from going all the way in (or at least in way too deep).  The front edge of the seal should be flush with the front of the head.
