Turn signal wouldn't work, fuse was blown, jiggled wires by fuse, and after removing screws holding steering wheel cover was able to move the wires leading to the turn signal lever, replaced fuse, worked fine for a week, now fuse blown again. I suspect a short somewhere in the steering column since when I use the turn signal the entire column under the cover shifts a bit. All other controls work fine.Thought I would check with y'all before I take on removing the wheel/ disabling air bag... Suggestions?

Water in one of the lamps may cause that as well.

sounds like a short in the wiring like u checked! usually water in a lamp will just blow the lamp and eventually ruin the socket!
-
oh and as far as the air bag goes just remove the fuse disconnect the battery and unplug the yellow connector under the dash!

Thanks I'll check the bulb connections, bulbs were ok thou.

I checked all the turn signal light and back up connections, both on same fuse ( jiggled the wires with the blinker on) they all look ok. Replaced the fuse again and they all worked fine for a few days then the fuse blew again. Could it be an intermittent short having to do with the back up light? Is there a connection with the tranmission or shifter to the back up lights? If so could I disable it to test out if that is the problem? Thanks

Finally got around to replacing all the turn bulbs and back up . Cleaned up bulb socket contacts. No issues since!
