Title: 1998 Tracker/Sidekick No power to climate control
Post by: Turkeyhead on August 17, 2011, 11:51:41 AM
Hey guys,  I'm having an issue with my climate control panel in my 1998 4x4 Chevy Tracker.
I checked quite a few fuses to no success. I haven't tested the motor yet. But there is no power to the panel, assuming, because the ac light wont come on. How do I tell if it's the resistor or blower motor, or something else. I can switch to any blower setting, speed, and hot/cold and nothing. The car only has 65k on it.
Thanks

Thanks! I've found that if I tap on the knob for the fan speed, it will kick on but only on the first speed!
Previous experience tells me that not only do I have a loose connection, but I'm thinking that I might have a bad blower motor resistor.
Anyone have an opinion on this?
Thanks for the info in advance!
