Hey peeps,
I found this on Ebay on Wednesday. Ordered one, if it's here by the weekend I'll install and tell you all about it.
For $50/free shipping I figured it was worth the risk.

If they send you a wrench and instructions I will laugh. :)

The guy who makes those kits posted them up on these forums. Let us know how it works out I am considering making the purchase.
-
Please give more information about the kit along with some pics if possible.
I would be interested in this kit for my tracker if it is good.

I meant more detailed info than the very generic description on the ebay ad. ::)

Sorry, had a little trouble attaching the picture.

The clip for the center is a good idea. How well does it work with the door on?
-
Works just like it did with the factory pins. It might wear out over time, but only time will tell.
Its definitely one windy ride with the doors off! 8)

So you got 4 lock pins and 2 hairpins for $50.
Years ago, I put the same type of lock pins on my samurai rear seat, so I could remove it quickly. I guess I should start selling a rear seat quick removal kit.

I would get on that ASAP before someone beats you to it.

I wonder how many I could sell on ebay, before people realize they could go down to the local farm and home store and buy the same parts for $5? ::)

thanks for the write up on this. no way im buying pins from him now, ill just go to the store and spend $8 to buy them rather than $100
-
You can buy these pins at Tractor Supply or most farm/ranch/feed stores. I'm not going to research it, but at worst you may have to drill the hole out slightly for an exact fit.
-
Don't you have to take the front fenders off to get at the hinges, or can you just get at the pins with the door open?

You should be able to remove the stock pins without removing the fender. Then, I am sure you can take out the removable pins without removing the fender.

I bought this kit because I was too lazy to go to the hardware store myself. lol It works great, the only thing I don't like is that you loose your mirrors when you remove the doors, so I gotta figure something out for driving on the street without the doors.
-
How fumbly is it to take the doors off and put em back on? Can you do it alone?
-
It's not too bad, I've done it a dozen or so times this sumer. The hardest time was 5AM in the dark, probably took 5 minutes.
-
I replaced the factory pins in my rear door ( tintop tracker) with Grade 8 shouldered bolts, self locking nuts, and new bronze bushings all for under $13. But hey, I did actually have to drive to the local supply. Do the doors rattle at all when put back on with that kit?

i just found some hitch pins like the ones you buy at my house. it took me 10min to do all 4 doors and im 16 so its not that hard :P. just from building mine ive relized everything on these things isnt very difficult so far (nock on wood). i lifted mine by myself when i was 15 and put a new 1.6 and cluch
