I'm looking into the yota axle swap...been calling around and annoying people ...seems that the way to do it is to set the pinion head angle + - 3 degrees of the angle that is measured on the face of the rear tcase flange.
The front is something about parallel and castor 3-5 degrees back...
regarding the pinion head angle -- what types of mods will change the pinion head angle or the flange angle?
Would going from samurai springs to YJ springs change the angle? I think too much...then I just confuse myself..LOL
one knowledgeable friend I asked said to just "eye-ball" the pinion angle...the guy helping me do the swap said he does - 2 degrees ...I'm glad he's helping me rather than the other guy ...ha

it depends on what type of drive line that you are using. dual cardin type you want it a couple of degres down, on a single u-joint type you want about 11 deg up on the rear. the front you will have to measure off of your king pin caps to get the proper angle for running radial tires or bias ply.

Cool - I'll be using 2 '84 rear non cv drive lines. I have to get them cut down and re-balanced.
