I'm in the process of swapping out my kickdown cable in my 97 4dr automatic tracker. I can't find where the cable hooks up to the trans. On my old 2dr 3spd, it was fairly accessable on the side of the trans.
It seems to go to the top of the tansmission on my 4spd, which begs the question, where does it actually hook up to the trans and how the heck am I supposed to get to this thing???
Help! I need to have this thing fixed tonight!

Passenger side of the tranny, just behind the selecter lever and the electronic switch. I have my motor out right now and thats where I see it going into the tranny.

OK, I've decided to follow the manual and I'm glad I did. It says to open up the trans and drop the valve body to get to the cable's attachment point and thats what you've got to do because no amount of poking around w/ the cable would have gotten it in place. Now I just need some trans help. I've got the trans open and the pics are what I'm looking at.
Does anyone know what pieces and which bolts have to come out for me to get to the hookup for the cable? Is there anything that I shouldn't mess with becase its full of spring loaded nightmares that will explode everywhere when unbolted?
