Can I swap my 97 engine with a 92 engine out of a tracker I know I have to change distributors What else.

Yes, so long as the engines are the same valve count, 8V for 8V and 16V for 16V
unless you plan on swapping over the cylinder head

16v and what about the crank sensor.

Ya, I figured if you knew about the distributor, you know about the CPS.

You have to match the electrics to work with your body application, you
would need to swap the oil pump and pan if you need a CPS on a 92 engine

The pump housing holds the CPS, so you need to swap the whole part.

Might be a good time to install a new pump too, as long as it's getting swapped

new pump was installed when rebuild, so I need to change pans and hook up sensor.

are you putting a 16 valve head on a 8 valve motor?

No 16v from 92 rebuilt, in 97 body.
