hello zuki ppl. Im new the zuki world as i just bought my first a couple months back. Its a 95 sidekick 2dr 2wd 5spd. i think itsa jx but the title says js. Can anybody tell me how to id which motor it has? 8v or 16v? From wat ive read on here it sounds like the 8v was made through 94 and the 16v on 95 and later. Can anybody help? Thanks

A picture of the engine would have gotten you an answer.
8v engines have a black pressed steel valve cover and the distributor leans to the right side of the vehicle so that the plug leads come across the valve cover to the plugs.
16v engines have an alloy valve cover, the distributor leans left which is the same side as the plugs, and says 16v on the timing belt cover.

Also on those aluminum valve covers there is 1" tall numbers and letters that say.......wait for it.......
16valve!
