There is a company in Belgium (IIRC) that sells a manifold for twin 40 or 45DCOEs, I can't remember their name but it has been posted here in the past. What sort of competition are you planning on competing in?

The manifold for the 1.3 will fit the 1.6 8V. A modified cam and a tubular exhaust manifold will give a good power increase.

I run the Safari snorkel but i think that would be too restrictive for twin DCOEs, you would have to fabricate your own.

thanks for reply Rhinoman. some of my friends told me that these carburators usually fit to the engine horizontally and it is not good for offroad (good acceleration but no torque). do you have any clues about this ?

Eric has a set of Webers on a 1.6 Samuarai, have a look for his article in the archive, hopefully he'll spot this thread and chime in.
