Title: No start no lights, no nothin.
Post by: Chief on April 26, 2011, 04:37:30 AM
So my tracker has been sitting for quite awhile. Also chopped the backhalf. Tranny is still connected, but tcase has been out for along time. So I tossed a battery in it yesterday, and jumped the main, 60 amp fuse ( unscrewed the two terminals for each side of the fuse, and bolted together) just to try and get something. Nothing. No lights, no wipers, blinkers, zip. I pulled the battery from my truck, so I know it's 100% ok. The airbox is off the engine, but don't recall pulling anything that would kill everything when a battery is in. Suggestions??? I'm trying to verify the engine runs... And it's not seized, I can turnover by hand at the crank w a socket. Valves look great under the cover.

I had a main fuse block go bad... check all of your connections from your battery... Including unbolting the main fuse block under the hood and see if you see any melting if the plastic. I would bet it is something as simple as a bad connection or wire leading from the battery though.

A test light would be real handy, Starting from the beginning.
