Title: Dorman Control Arms
Post by: nprecon on August 28, 2010, 06:49:54 PM: Has anyone tried one of these aftermarket control arms from "Dorman"? This link reflects control arms for a '99 Tracker. The "Mevotech" arms appear to be built similar to the OEM arms, but the Dormans appear to be stamped and more closely resemble the 1st gene Trasck/Kicks.

I was also wondering for those who purchase the Calmini suspension kits, where do you find replacement ball joints for their control arms when the ones in the kit eventually fail?

Post by: AJMBLAZER on August 28, 2010, 08:04:07 PM: I know on my '96 Tracker's Calmini lift it used an off the shelf ball joint. When I needed a balljoint I just took it to the parts store and we looked up the part number on it. Bet their newer stuff is the same way.

I'm trying to figure out why the stamped arm is more expensive than the cast arm?
I just wish they'd make a replacement arm with a replaceable ball joint.

The arms on my 2000 2D are cast iron.
