Title: help on transfer output shaft
Post by: Missouritrailrider1 on July 21, 2010, 08:58:25 AM
ok i need someone with some knowledge on this one, when your front output shaft "breaks" on transfer and it pops out of 4wd in forward all the time, what is causing this? is the deal that slides just sliding back off output gear or what? and can i weld that collar in the 4wd position to just have a quick fix or wat? i need some answers on this asap cause its gonna be deciding factor on either pickin up a used transfer case or a good 1.3 with weber on it and few other goodies, cant afford both but my current motor floods out smokes bad dies ect and transfer is messed up as well

the popping sound should be the front output popping out of the collor that locks the front drive

And it's caused from low T-case oil, and the 4WD engaging part
is worn and needs replaced
