Hello Adventure Enthusiasts!
Here's a rough itinerary, a couple of requests, and instructions for those that are planning on coming on this year's ZUKIWORLD FALL CLASSIC! The first thing to do would be to read over the previous adventures and see if you're up to being cold and dirty for three days and to see if this trip would be something that would interest you.
2010 Itinerary:
Friday November 19th:
1300hrs - Meet in Lapine
1400hrs - Begin adventure, Camp in evening.
Saturday November 20th:
Wander easterly through the desert and visit some or all of the following, Hole in the ground, Ft. Rock, Crack in the ground, Christmas Valley Dunes, Lost Forrest, and throw in some abandoned homesteads along the way. Return to camp, have a Night trail ride.
Sunday November 21th:
Play on the way out, Wander westerly through desert seeing some of the attractions along the way.
1500hrs - End in Bend
Requests / Instructions:
1 - Don't wine about the cold. (bring what you need to survive)
2 - Have a 200 mile range with your vehicle.
3 - Bring an arm load of fire wood to help out.
4 - Suzuki mfg vehicle or special guest.
5 - If you bring a dog, make sure it is well behaved or you may be asked to camp far, far away from the group.
6 - To get specific instruction on the meeting place and time (to be included), Send and email to ebewley[at]zukiworld.com. Include a cell phone number and any 'special' needs you may have. I will email you back with instructions on when and where to meet. First 15 gets in.

So how hard core is this run? Can I run my LJ81 stock, or should I put that rear locker in?
-
So how hard core is this run? Can I run my LJ81 stock, or should I put that rear locker in?
Not that hard core but two things pop into mind. First, it is cold this time of year and the ol' LJ may be a bit frigid. Second, we do quite a few miles and so you would need an iron butt if you are still riding stock. :)
There are a lot of feature article that can be accessed through our home page and the archive section that will describe in great detail what is in store.
I'd personally love to have you attend! It'd be cool to see your LJ riding around. Maybe I'd get inspired and break out my LJ20... maybe. :)
Thanks, Eric
-
Well the LJ would be warmer than my Samurai! ;) (I would be driving the LJ81 down, not one of the air cooled LJ10's, so heat would not be an issue!) The cold doesn't bother me, as I'll have a nice sleeping bag, blankets, and may tow a camping trailer behind the LJ (if I can get it done in time!) I'm planning on taking it up to do Whipsaw this summer; I'll find out how hard my butt is then! I suppose I could just tow it behind the truck, but where's the fun in that?
I did read the articles, and talked to Kieran about last year's run. I need to rebuild the t-case and repaint the camper shell, as the old paint is peeling off in sheets, but I'd like to have that all done before Whipsaw anyway.

In case my emails were vague, I am plannign to be there. If for some reason the LJ81 doesn't go, I'll just bring the Samurai or flat tow the RHD. Not sure if I'll have a passenger or not.
Kieran, we can caravan down if you want.

Going to be a big group this year. :)
-
Due to overwhelming response! (It's always fun to say that) We're going to open up this trail ride to 25 rigs up from 15. So, there is still some space available if you'd like to go. It'll be a fun weekend and I know that there are a few that are going to head out earlier in the week and ad a few days to the event. So, if you want to do even more than the 3-day trip, there is an option to have some others around too.
-Eric
-
Eric,
Hey, thanks for the invite to this run. I'm a maybe at this point. I need to wait until it's a little closer and see what my work schedule and Erin's work schedule looks like. I got word yesterday that I might be moving into a different position at work starting in October that will be a little harder to get time off from. I'll let you know. If you reach the 25 rigs quota before I can commit, no worries. We'll catch another run with you later.

I just realized we have a corporate audit at work the week before the FC and vacations aren't allowed. :-\ So, I'll have to meet up over there Friday night. :( I am gonna miss the typically adventurous drive from La Pine to Cabin Lake with everyone...

I think it might be kinda fun to explore the dry lake beds around Fort Rock...
See: [url=http://pnwdualsport.forumotion.net/adventure-reports-f7/central-oregon-fly-and-ride-powered-parachute-meet-t887.htm]http://pnwdualsport.forumotion.net/adventure-reports-f7/central-oregon-fly-and-ride-powered-parachute-meet-t887.htm (http://pnwdualsport.forumotion.net/adventure-reports-f7/central-oregon-fly-and-ride-powered-parachute-meet-t887.htm)
There are some cool looking areas just south of Fort Rock... (according to google maps)
Plus, I'm hoping we can drive INTO hole-in-the-ground this time... bummer that there where forest service folks there last time. I have no idea if they would have had issues with us doing that or not? It would be a blast to camp there at the rock-wall camp thingy - but it might get a kinda cold with the wind factor?
-
i'm thinking about signing up for the trip. i'm new and have a fully stock sidekick with 235/75/15's and i can go anywhere in southren illinois i want but is oregon going to be out of my league and if i decide to trailer up is there a place to park my truck while we are gone? any pointers would be apprecitaed!!!!
-
Eric; Is this a camp on the fly deal, or do we set up a base camp and shoot out from there?
-
I still have it on my calendar...
I'll be bringing some hand and sleeping bag warmers this year though. The cold was INVIGORATING last year :o
-
Yea, two sleeping bags for me this year and I'm pre-checking the sleeping mat to make sure it stays inflated. :)
-
Gayle and I will be there in the FJ60
-

Yeah the cold was INVIGORATING! I am going to bring as many sleeping bags as I can find this year.
-
You can trailer up here for sure, I am gonna be a huge wuss this year. Not only am I trailering, but I am also bringing my camper. I am allowed to do this because I have tent camped on this trip 4 times. It is always a great time with good friends and I wouldn't miss it. As for bringing a stock kick, I wouldn't worry too much. The trip is only as hard as you want to make it. The only thing you might have trouble with is the road to the bottom of hole in the ground, which is optional. Saying that, there will be plenty of people to make sure you make it anywhere you want to go. This is my favorite Zukiworld trip, as well as Zukipilots(I think)
-
I'm with ya on that one.... absoutely LOVE it!!!! So far the furthest distance traveled to attend the fall classic = 2600 Miles from Soth Florida (in the 80's at the time) to wake up the first morning with snow covering the tent... This will be my 3rd Fall Classic and can not wait to get there 8) Good Times 8)
Zig
PS... Fuller...your a wuss :P
-
I could bring my camper, but that would detract from the adventure. It would feel like I am cheating, robbing myself of some of the fun.
:D
-
It will be nice have a warming hut. Were the Hot coffee,Hot choclate,is served.
-
Yeah, I will just have to remind myself of all the fun I am not having. Like when I don't stick to the frozen toilet seat on a box. ;)
-
We had to put the water in the cooler to keep it from freezing And the propane bottles in the sleeping bag so they worked better in the morning for breakfast.
-
I could bring my camper, but that would detract from the adventure. It would feel like I am cheating, robbing myself of some of the fun.
:D
That's the spirit man! The cool kids rough it and enjoy/endure that experience. That's why I've been tent camping since the first "Fall Classic"..
-Eric
-
OK... so is it cheating if I go to Fullers camper for hot chocolate?....WAIT A MINUTE!!!! Was it on the Classic when someone made me an awesome adult Hot Cider thing at the camp fire? If so. Who and what was it? I need to get plenty of whatever is needed to make that... YUM...
-
This is about the only trip anymore that Gayle and I don't take our camper. I do wish we had a better tent for the cold weather, maybe in a few years we will.
-
OK... so is it cheating if I go to Fullers camper for hot chocolate?
Actually, I think it's a rule he has to make hot chocolate for anyone that asks since he has the camper.

22 Days 5 hours and 11 minutes till touchdown in Portland 8)
-
I've heard there will be a number of campers/RV's this year...
Oh yeah, it's snowing there right now! :P hehe
-
I've been watching the pass. Interestingly enough I am doing a run over Naches pass the weekend before in the SJ. So I should be used to cold weather camping. :D
-
It's 75 and raining here today... Gotta make sure the cold weather gear is ready...
Zig

I heard a rumor we might be in a camper this year 8).
-
We'll either be in Pooh's camper in Bagwell's tent. ;)
-
Guess I should see if the sammy will start, replace the 2 flat tires on the trailer, and get the new carrier bearing and u-joints on the truck. Eh, it's raining...
-
so does this mean i can bring my truck and camper down? and trailer my zuke?
we dont know if we can find a sitter for the kids and if i could do this that would be great....

Yes you can.
-
Eric, please accept my apology. I may have opened a can of worms.
-
(http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/gerg.gif) I remember the good ol' days where it was just people and their 4x4's, out roughing it in the desert. (http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/kumbaya.gif)
Now there are RV's, generators, trailers... too much creature comfort. (http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/eek7.gif)
-
oh we still do that, we just prefer not to with 2 kinds under the age of 5 LOL
-
I agree, the kid thing makes it harder. My son is 17months. This trip is a bit cold so he won't be coming this year. Maybe next year though! :)
-
I think it still is about ruffing it. The camper is the only way I could get my 13.8 year old daughter to go. Plus 3 people and all our camping supplies would not fit in the sammy. I also talked to Eric about it before announcing my intentions anywhere. :)
-
Hey everyone, no worries about bringing a camper. True, this event is partly about roughing and 'enjoying' the weather together while seeing some wonderful country and wheeling. BUT if the difference is that you can't make it unless you have a camper at base camp I know I'd rather see people there with their campers, so that we can all enjoy your company and meet new people than say "Stay away because you not roughing it."
So, bring your campers. If you like it and think you may come next year, think about getting a nicer tent and cold weather gear. Why don't you have that anyway? Don't you know that 2012 is just around the corner! :)
By the way, specific logistical information will be sent out to those that signed up via email next week.
Thanks, Eric
-
I've never been on this trip and I don't know anyone on here, but I am looking forward to it! I am driving my sammi down from Seattle while leaving the wife, kids, and any creature comforts at home. I'll bring along my buddy chuck. He is kind of like a low maintenance pet who can go fetch firewood. ;)
we will be sure to scavenge up our 2012 disaster kits which will mostly consist of some sleeping bags, slingshots, some shiny coins to keep chuck entertained, and a spork.
Looking forward to roughing it this trip and creating some memories with everyone. I've been feeling pretty domesticated lately.

It'll be good to meet you and your firewood getting pet! There are at least two other participants coming from the Seattle area so you may want to caravan together for fun/safety...
Do I have your name on the list for logistics details?
-Eric
-
Yep, I am on the list. I will be leaving thurs night and staying in Portland for the night to break it up.
-
Yep, I am on the list. I will be leaving thurs night and staying in Portland for the night to break it up.
I usually crash in Bend just so I don't have to drive as far in the morning. Sportsman Outlet has a sale on 0 degree sleeping bags, I was tempted to pick another one up.
-
So excited for this trip! :)
How many people are getting a late start and heading over Friday evening?
Bagwell and I will be riding together and leaving Salem hopefully between 5 - 6pm.
-
Does that mean no pooh this time? I am not sure as our leaving time depends on my wife's work.
-

Pooh is planning on going. He just needs to figure out which vehicle to cobble together so he can make the trip 8).

I was looking forward to seeing his lifted trailer.
-
Got the sammy fired up, flat tire fixed, and new trailer tires today. Getting close.
-
I was looking forward to seeing his lifted trailer.
It is very mad max ;D.

I bought socks.... :P

The information email has been sent to the participants I have on the list. If you would like to go but didn't get an email, contact me directly via PM by Wednesday and I'll get you the information. On the "To Do list" for participants is to get back to me with your shirt size and find some cool trinket to put into the brand new Zukiworld Geocache we are going to plant out there in the desert.
Can't wait to see ya'll! (Zig is coming so I got to practice speaking in ding-dang-ol Zig speak. ) :)
-Eric
-
Well I recon' i be bringin me a good ol Nashville tennessee trinket fer that there bucket of stuff you leave out fer other fellers to find.....
Zig

I'll have to come up with something. To the random pile of collectibles! How many goe-caches are we planning on visiting?

I think we'll hit two or three Geocaches along the route as well as plant our own Zukiworld Geocache... Other fun activities (well besides the cool adventure wheeling and sight seeing) will be a night time geocache ride, chili potluck, and an outdoor dart tourney with fabulous prizes!
-Eric
-
That's great, I love prizes!
-
Don't forget your flag for the sand dunes. ;D
-
but I wanted to use trash bag ties again....

Well we are confirmed to go!
Drriving down across the border from BC on Thursday :)
Really looking forward to the trip with the XL-7 ;) !!
~Candace & Sir Lance
-
Looking forward to meeting some new folks, while enduring the frigid desert climate! :)
Can't wait!!!
-
Spent most of Saturday trying to track down what the computer was blaming on a #1 cyl misfire. Ends up it was cyl 3. Well, the spark plugs were out of gap anyway...
But most of the prep work is completed headed out Thursday night from Seattle. :)
-
I saw that Val wasn't on the list of participants this year...anybody else a licensed Ham? I gotta get my radio fix on this trip...
-
Oh crap... I dont think the 'new' tracker has a CB :o . Hey Fuller, you wanna help me put in a CB when I get there... if not you'll wont get any boomhower radio clips from the trip.... :P
Zig
-
Sure man! We need something to do on Thursday anyway, well besides drink all the beer we buy on Wednesday. We should do another Wisconsin style beer buy. See what the Oregon cashier has to say about it.

Sounds good to me......
-
We have a VHF/HAM ;)
-
So I had the day off today. Thought I would fix that annoying drive line vibe in the superduty. It needed a new carrier bearing pressed on. So, after getting it pressed, installing the drive line again and taking it on a test drive, I notice a drip. After investigating a little further I find a fuel leak. A very common one as it turns out but not good. I can order the O-rings online for about $20.00 but they won't be here in time.
A call to Ford and $60.00 later the leak is now stopped. Why does this stuff always happen before a trip?
-
It happens before a trip, because we all give things a closer look before we pile the wife and kiddos in, or before he head out with a bunch of known moterheads that will be looking our stuff over. Its all good, even with leaks. No-one can claim that their maintenance program has been ahead of every leak!
-
Looks like Highs in the low to mid 30's and chance of snow every day..... The normal weather for MY trips to La Pine... 8) Can not wait....
-
Better then last week. Last time I checked it was rain, rain, rain and more rain. :D
-
Yeah, pretty decent wintery storm hitting this weekend! It's gonna rock!!!! :)
-
Hmmm, might have to turn the furnace up a little. >:D
-
YES!!! Bring it on! I'm bringing all of the necessary cold weather gear this year; spent an hour or two at Cabela's this morning stocking up on the latest high tech gear.
Looks like we won't have too much snow this year; at least not more than a few inches. I was hoping for more...I WAS thinking about bringing the deuce with my sami on the bed. Figured if we got somewhere around 2 feet of snow or more, it would be the only rig capable of getting back out of the woods 8)
On another note...I will take cold and dry over wet at any temperature; the forecast looks perfect to me!
-
On one hand, I'm wishing I could join you folks for the classic... snow wheeling and all. On the other, I'm likin' the sunny 65 weather we have down here now. :P
-
I will take snow over rain any time! This is going to be a great trip ;D.

Snow! Pine Mountain Observatory.

See you in LaPine.
-
I won't be able to head out until tomorrow afternoon; coupled with a 6+ hour drive and snow on the roads, I'll see you all at cabin lake tomorrow night 8)
-
I got lucky and got tomorrow off of work! :)
See some of you guys in Salem tomorrow morning... and see most everyone else in La Pine for lunch! :)
-
Ready to go, just waiting for my ride to get here! 8)

Finally got back. Man, some people drive SLOW in the snow covered passes. Thanks to you guys who stopped to make sure we were ok. We just stopped to get a family picture and I ended up helping 1 lady put on chains, and put a starter back in some kids Toyota for him.

That was Joe and Charlie

Stuck in Madras,OR with a bad rear wheel bearing.
I thought I had a frozen brake drum this AM it must have been the bearing going.
Kris is here we will try and get one in the AM and fix it.

Oh that sucks Air Bag. I hope you get it figured out in the A.M. Glad Kris is with you. Does this count as doing something stupid when you are around us?

That sucks you are stuck in Madras :(. Just think so we aren't there with cameras at least! ;D
-
Airbag - best of luck to you! I hope you can get it fixed! Keep us updated...
Eric - thanks again for putting this trip together for us! I had a GREAT TIME!! Sounds like both our groups had an amazing time today (Sunday) while wheelin' from Cabin Lake back to Bend. Our group had made it to the base of Pine Mountain about the time you guys were probably headed down the north side.
-
Thanks again everybody for a great weekend! Eric, thanks for going to the effort to put it all together; I had an awesome time.
Man that was a lot of icy/snowy highway driving...I got a brief reprieve up I-5 and through portland, but it started snowing in the Banks/Manning area and hwy 26 was pretty bad clear out to the coast. What should have been a 6 hour drive took 8 hours. LOTS of cars in the ditch...7 of them on hwy 26 alone, one on hwy 22 outside of Idanha, and 2 of them on hwy 20 over the pass. Glad I wasn't one of them!
Sure was nice to go to sleep in a room that wasn't below freezing last night :)
Good luck with your wheel bearing airbag...

The lady I helped with her chains saw my mobile marriot and asked me if I was going to put chains on. I told her no and she looked at me like I was crazy.

I thought all rigs over a certain GVW and/or pulling a trailer were required to chain up?
-
No one told me that...... :P
-
Thanks for hosting another great Fall Classic Eric! 8)

While it seemed like I was going through more fuel than anyone in the group (typical for me is ~16mpg), I have to report that I set a new record for my sami (in it's current configuration)... I got 20.7mpg, going from Bend to Salem! I've been wanting to break the 20mpg-mark for years and finally did it. yay!
-
Hey Airbag - Any luck on the wheel bearing? Hoping its going well for you!

Hey Airbag - Any luck on the wheel bearing? Hoping its going well for you!
We checked with the Napa this morning and they had a wheel bearing and seal in Bend. So we dropped Airbag's Tracker off at the Napa Auto Center to have them pull the rear end apart while we went and picked up the parts. When we got back the front passenger side wheel was pulled off instead of the rear passenger. Ends up it had a bad wheel bearing as well, and he though we were confused when we told him. Luckily there was a new wheel bearing across the street at the Napa store, so we went to lunch and when we came back all was well.
Then the drive north, which took about 9 hours with the passes. We dropped out of the last pass on 26 about 4:00, the pass was closed at 4:15. So just made it through. From there it was a pretty unadventurous drive up I5, except hitting the snow about 30 minutes across the border and making our way through traffic the rest of the way north. I did get to see a Tacoma extended cab do it's best to spin out on the freeway and hit Airbag's Tracker, then a semi do it's best to hit him while dodging the Tacoma. That was fun. :D
I haven't reviewed any of the video or photo's yet. I did setup the camera to auto-take pictures when going over the pass. We'll have to see how they turn out.
-
Home finally !!!!!!
All of Seattle is covered in ice with 4 inches of snow on top. I must have passed 30 cars after leaving Kris I was just done driving in the snow.
I had a great time! It was nice to see everyone and meet new people.
Thanks Eric.

Thanks to everyone that attended and made this a fun and memorable year. Central Oregon never ceases to be amazing and there is always something new to see. It was great seeing old friends and meeting new people. Our 'exit' on Sunday was really good. We took a new route and found some new sites, trails, and stuff...
If you have some pictures and would like to donate them for an article, that would be great. Please email me your favorites... Also, please feel free to share here too!
Thanks, and I am already looking forward to next year.

Airbag & Kris ~ That's great you guys got everything fixed and got home! Good teamwork! :)
-
Our adventure was a major dissapointment.
30 miles north of Salem, the Kicker 2 output splines stripped. (Thats right we were screwed) >:(
Good samaritan stopped for us, let us use his AAA for a tow and his shop/tool. (LUCKY!!! :) )
our plan was to get the tow to Salem walmart, rip the t-case apart on the ground and hope that you guys could rescue us. lol
(glad we didnt do that, it was COLD )
Lance pulled it apart to discover the unfixable problem, so we rented a car Friday, drove back up to Canada , picked up our
Ford and car trailer, drove all the way back through a blizzard, picked up the truck in Tualatin, OR and got home Saturday night.
Trying to keep positive, but we really needed to get-away, just extremely bummed out..... :(
Glad everyone else had fun & had a drink for us. lol
-
Oh man!!! >:( Sorry to hear about your breakdown! That sounds pretty bad... I guess it could have been worse if it happenned way out in the Oregon high desert...
Glad you made it home. That's nice the good samaritan helped out.
-
I had a great time meeting everyone. You guys are a great group and Charlie and I felt lucky to have the chance to join you all. Thanks for the good times and hope that by now, most everyone has made it home safely.
Joe
-
Sorry to hear about your break down. It's too bad it did not happen earlier as a number of us live in Salem and would have been glad to help. Heck, I bet we could have even rounded up a vehicle for you to drive with all the extra Zuki's most of us have.
-
Some of the other problems seen makes the valve stem that I tore up on my rig seem pretty minor. :D
Glad everyone made it through though.
-
Good to here every one made it home safe, including us. Monday I drove the FJ60 into work to check it out because the rear suspension was still locking down even with no weight in it, lets just say holy s***. The problem was that both of the front spring hangers for the rear axle were nearly ripped off of the frame. The bottom rivets ripped out of the frame and the hangers pivited on the upper rivets on the side of the frame causing it to buckle. After looking at it rust is the root cause. So I have some cleaning, cutting, plating and welding in my near future.
-
Well, if that is the case I'm glad your axle didn't fall off. :)
-
New kicker 2 later and we are good to go. (Thankfully found one from a local guy who didnt finish a project)
Old kicker had noticeable wear and tear, T-case was almost 20 years old.
Here is the culprut, (coupler that runs between kicker 2 output & yota input) :-X
-
Sorry you did not make it. Next year will be better
-
Where's all the pics and video's? :P

I'm home... After 3100 miles of storm dodging routes and a great time, my 'new' 2000 4 door made it home with no issues. The first 450 miles lasted 12 hours and was exciting to say the least... the first 50 of it was the normal central Oregin snow/gravel we had been in all weekend, then it got exciting... tossed her into 4x4 and kept rolling for the next 400miles before I finally saw a break in the snow somewhere in north Utah the folowing day. From that point we were planning on heading north into Idaho and Wyoming for some scenic back roads, but after a check of the weather (more snow coming) and traffic (I-80 closed west of Cheyenne) we decided to head out of Salt Lake south ahead of the snow. Our luck turned due to timing, putting us traveling behind one front and just in front of the next, and we were able to cut north in Denver and head up to I-80 in Cheyenne. Wed night landed us in Kansas at Robi's house so we could hang out and tell them about our trip over a few cold ones..... 6 days from the time we pulled out of Fullers driveway to meet up with everyone for the fall adventure, I had crossed 11 states in 3100 miles... Good Times Indeed.....
Thanks Eric, for another great adventure. I had a great time with old friends and new. The fall Classic once again was a great time.
Zig
PS I will post up some pics monday...
-
zig- I feel guilty that I did not make it. I live so close compared to you, and as much help as you have been with my project. As soon as you/we get dates for next year, let me know. It takes a fair bit of time for a pup like me ( 13 years on the job ) to get time off. When I am an old timer I will be able to get any time off, but for now it is tough. A bunch of us Medford Firemen will be there through the month of May killin rabbits, yoties, squirrels, and drinking too much, but we will all be on quads, not zuks, so it is not the same.
-
where are the pics allready?
on the other hand, maybe i don't want to see any, we where sooooo close :( :(

That makes me really annoyed that my new camera battery was acting up. Who doesn't allow their camera to be charged via USB anyway?
Uploading some files to http://picasaweb.google.com/Drone637/FallAdventureRun2010 (http://picasaweb.google.com/Drone637/FallAdventureRun2010) for your perusal. I need to create a movie file from the drive over the pass hear Mt. Hood just before it closed down on Monday, I had the camera taking a picture every 2 seconds for over an hour. Should make an interesting flip book. :)
*edit*
Uploaded another set of pictures, that will probably do it for the static shots.

-
Video huh? I suppose I should install the software that has been on my desk for the last month...
-
Ah! your killing me Kris! :)
-
On the plus side, the video of you climbing the hill with the camera on the side of the rig looks really good. :D
-
Sweet!, sure would like to see it..... ;)
-
OK, getting tempted to drive up there, steal your SD card, and post the video myself now...... >:D
-
Dude, it's Christmas. I'm nowhere near my home machine. :)
-
OK, OK, as soon as you can. I really gave her hell trying to make that video look good. :P

Dude, it's Christmas. I'm nowhere near my home machine. :)
cough, cough... video... cough, cough..... :P

Here is a quick video, some of the resolution was lost so I will have to look into encoding for YouTube to see if I can get the full 1080 hi res:
ZukiWorld Fall Adventure Challenge 2010 Sand Dunes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idEt7GWZxD4#)
-
Sweet! thanks Kris. Turned out pretty good.
-
I'm going to try keeping it in an MP4 format and see if I can get a little more clarity for when I upload video from the rest of the run. Due to some issues at work I'm learning a lot more then I ever really wanted about codecs.
-
Yep, Kris, don't take the sami when you really need the tracker. :)
-
He took the tracker, that's my sammy.
-
Nice.... Kool, thanks!!!!! 8)
-
He took the tracker, that's my sammy.
You also climbed the hill a bit better then me. I need a new bumper, that will fix it! :)
-
Not sure which one of you guys took the cheap shot, but I love the new pic on the home page. It kills this Oregon kid! Who ever plans the next eastern Oregon run please call me (541-245-6010) so I can arrange Elk tents, wood stoves, ovens, and basically meeting places along the journey. I have read the posts and I know my 70 FF brothers would love to meet a group like this even though many do not own zuks. PS The picture gives me the itch!!!
-
so who has the White Tracker with the front winch bumper and the lift from Washington state? its a killer looking tracker and i would like to know more about it. How well did it fair on the trails?
-
That is airbag. Guess how he got his name. ;D
-
Thanks that would be mine.
It is a '99 stock gears open front and rear.
OME suspension and Jeff1997 spacers 2" body lift
Winch bumper Rock Sliders and Skid plates homemade
Waren 8000lb winch
BFG 31x10.5R15 KM2
It does does great on the trails, snow covered roads going too fast not so good!
I have had it for 5 years an love it.
Air Bag
PS:replaced AIR BAGS

I too would like to participate in this event but I am still unable to repair my vehicle. My participation depends on when I am finished with the repair works. Hope to see u all there.
