Is it better than coil spacers?
Found a set of front an rear grand vitara springs for less than spacers.
Wondering what the advantages an disadvantages are?
While reading posts Ive seen people say it is the best an they hated it so wanting some opinions.
thanks I have a 97 tracker 5sp 4x4 16valve 2dr softtop

I run the Grand Vit springs up front and a set of 1" spacers in the rear. This gives the Tracker a nice level look. You will get a little over 2" of lift in the front, enough that you will want to put a strut spacer up front. Otherwise you will end up topping out your struts on large bumps giving it a rougher ride then needed. I run a 1 3/4" strut spacer that was modified from some spring spacers we had left around.
The rear springs cannot be used as they have a smaller diameter then the stock springs and you would need to modify the upper mount to make them fit.
In my opinion the springs are better then the spring spacer, a much softer ride overall. But they are stiffer then the stock springs and OME's, BRDHNTR has a set of cut down OME XL7 springs in his front end and has a plusher ride. With the stock struts it wasn't as noticeable but with the addition of the Bilstein front struts the front end is a touch stiffer then I would like.

what about putting one pair of front gv or xl7's up front and putting one pair of front gv or xl7's in the back? also what about 4 door trackick springs?

4 door Tracker springs in a 2 door usually levels it out nicely and gets rid of the rake on the front end. It is around a 500lb spring compared to the stock 2 door front spring of 450lb. So you will see a slightly stiffer ride as well.
As for swapping the front springs into the back I wouldn't recommend it. They are usually smaller in height and a much heavier spring, the stock rear is only 150. BRDHNTR saw a 1" lift in the rear when he switched to the 4 door springs in back, but I didn't see any change in my Tracker and stuck with the 1" spacer. The springs in his 91 where probably broken down a bit more then on my 96.
