Have 86 Samurai with spoa on it currently hoping for insight on how to make it ride any better. Was hoping for any info on wrangler springs or coil over. Has anyone tried airshocks or coil overs?

I built a 4-link for the rear, the difference in the ride was amazing. I also run the rear springs up front.
However a good set of shocks the right weight would probably help as well. At the Fall Adventure Challenge there were a couple of Sammy's that didn't seem to be having to hard of a time keeping up on the washboard roads.
Springs are easier but having built 2 4-links for the rear I would just as soon build another as put a set of YJ springs on.

We just built a second one on my cousins using similar dimensions. We'll see how it handles once he gets the rear axles put back together. It is a lot easier to build this sort of thing with a lift and a plasma cutter. :)

I built a custom 3 link front and rear, run some Bilstein 5125 series 14.3" travel shocks, with QA1 14" coils with 150 lb spring rate rear and 175 lb spring rate in front. Rides like a dream and will ramp 1000 on a 30 degree RTI ramp with 35" tires and 92" wheel base. The QA1 coils I run are actually coilover coils, but I run them in traditional method as a stand alone coil. They are smaller in diameter so they fit more easily on my toyota axles.
