Yay! My first full paint job on a car. I think it came out pretty well....although the paint was too thick for my Wagner power painter. :-\

I really like the OD green with a satin finish....saw it on another track/kick on these forums. Owner went by the name "Quaddawg". It looks pimp. I can't stop staring at it now.... ;D

looks good. How long did it take you to spray on? I'm still debating if I should buy a gun or have someone else do it for me.

looks real fine.
what kind of paint?
are we talking one of those house spayers with the hopper on top?

I used this Wagner painter.

And the paint was a latex based exterior paint....no doubt a house paint. The instructions on the paint specifically said NOT to thin it...so I didn't. And it was a little too thick for the Wagner gun, so it came out kinda drippy here and there. It wasn't a super fine mist like I imagined it would be, but I'm real happy with it.
It only took me one sunny day to do the whole thing, from start to finish. I drove into the yard at around 11 to start washing it and sanding off some rust spots.....then I taped it up and painted it. I was done and had the tape all off by 6pm.
A few bugs met their demise in the wet paint..... :-\ Adds to the tough look of it with dead bugs stuck to it. ;)

;D Bugs in the paint just make it a classic. Early Ducati's imported to this country were famous for a fly or two in the paint. Now they're HIGHLY collectable. But hey, these are Suzuki's, not Ducatis. Still looks good though. Now, either fix those bumper covers, or finish tearing 'em off! ::)

haha...mangled bumper covers can only mean one thing. Needs more lift! =)

Weird, I never noticed until you mentioned it that his bumpers are really torn up. :D
I wonder how that Wagner would deal with some automotive paint with thinner mixed in. But the matt finish from the latex paint is pretty sweet.
