Very nice, are you gonna make a grill guard for it?

looking for pic's i've been kickin it around havent seen one i like yet
This is what was on the sami when i got it

Quite an improvement! ;D I'm also limited on cash so I'll be making my own bumpers too. I'm thinking a tube bumper shaped like the Calmini winch bumper. I'm also gonna weld on a stinger style grill guard that'll wrap around the sides of the fender. I haven't finalized the plans though as I'm worried that it may weigh too much.
I came up with this on MS paint:

That looks pretty good on the front of the Samurai, nice work. Are you going to add an opening to the top so you can access the free spool?
-
You may want to think of adding some sort of attachment points such as "D" rings or something similar for a tow strap to be attached. If your going to leave the top part of the bumper flat, it would be an excellent place to mount a Hi-Lift jack or other tools.

the free spool is easy to get to the winch is mounted so the bolts go stait in from the front behind the roller fairlead.
i was planing on d-rings.
the top looks good flat i still have the stinger that i cut off but i think it would look goofy on that bumper so i didn't put it on
I'm looking at make a back bumper 2 thinking of making so narrow box's in it for straps and chains 4 recovery.

Topheavy i like the plan

Thanks, I like the way it looks but it may be too heavy. I'm gonna buy the tubing and mock it up, if it doesn't weigh too much I'll go with it.
