Title: Questions about rear main seal on tracker

I need to replace the rea main seal on my GF's 99 tracker 2.0, auto trans. Is it the same old pull tranny, pry seal out with screwdriver, pop new one in and replace tranny?  Or is this a have to drop oil pan and crank to replace?
