Can you bolt up two sets of wheel spacers to get a really wide stance?

Two wheel spacers per wheel

Sure it could be done but I doubt it would be safe.  Two sets of wheel spacers would cost about as much as 4 wheels with the backspacing you would want which would be safe.

That would just be dangerous...

You can get up to a 2" wheel spacer, any further then that and I would look at wider axles instead.

They're probably safer than the ones that are just plates with holes in them...where the studs go through the spacer and you mount the wheel over it.

Still....two per wheel sounds insane.  Try it...but wear your seatbelt...and a helmet.
