Title: Selling a modified truck.
Post by: BIG DOG on January 07, 2009, 10:59:36 AM
Are there any legalities or things that you should be concerned with when selling a moded truck ? My tracker has 2" spring spacers ,3" tube body lift and spacers in the steering shaft .If I sell it do I have to worry about the next owner or anyone coming back on me if something was to go wrong. Not that i think anything is wrong I just worry about this stuff ! I'm even contmplating removing my lift in my 4 wheeler atv before I sell it......what do you guts think or do?
Thanks!

IF I WERE BUYING THE VEHICLE FROM YOU I WOULD INSPECT THE WORK THAT HAD BEEN DONE AND MAKE A JUDGEMENT CALL.  THAT BEING SAID, THERE ARE A LOT OF CITY-YUPPIE IDIOTS IN THE WORLD THAT WOULD NOT DO THAT, SO I WOULD WRITE UP A BILL OF SALE STATING SOLD AS-IS WITH NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE FOR ANY OF THE WORKSMANSHIP THAT YOU HAD DONE ON THE VEHICLE TO REMOVE YOURSELF FROM LIABILITY IF THERE IS ANY DOUBT.
