Title: How rare are the 90-95 samurais
Post by: urbanwheeler on January 05, 2009, 12:14:26 AM
Today I saw a really clean 90-95 samurai, and it dawned on me that there really aren't that many of them. The one I saw today makes 2 of the newer samurais I have seen since 2007 (the other one being a thrashed rock crawler. It seems like the earlier ones are getting scarce as well, along with the 1984-88 body style 4wd toyota pickups. It's unfortunate as I really liked the designs and build quality of them :'(. If only they weren't so rusty.

I don't know that I would classify them as "rare".  But it does seem like you don't see near as many 90-95 samurais, as you do 86-89s.  Most of them I see are 87 or 88s.
That being said, I do have 3 EFI samurais....but the majority of samurais I have are carbed.

I'v seen 87-88 and 90-95 but I don't think I'v seen a 89

89s are basically like the 88.5....other than they don't have a mix and match of drivetrain parts like a lot of the 88.5s do.
