ok ive done the clicky starter fix about 3 weeks ago. its done great untill this morning. i changed the oil and went to pull it out the bay at work and it wouldnt start, just click like before. could it be the starter? i tested it the last time on the bench and it tested out just fine.its driving me crazy any help would be great. maybe im missing something else.

You could try rebuilding tour starter solenoid. It's not that hard, just start taking off screws, and clean the crap out of everything you see. Mine had a lot of corrosion inside - I cleaned it up and it works great now. I presume you also cleaned up the ground wires really well ???

the one at the trans thru the starter i did.

ok put in a new starter last night and it still clicks.the lights on the dash dim out when turning the key. where is yours grounded at.

Follow the black wire. Mine was a small (maybe 1 foot?) wire that went from the negative terminal to the firewall. I forget if there was another ground somewhere. I cleaned the crapola out of mine because bad grounds are notorious for creating electrical gremlins. Do you have a volt meter? Can you test your battery, or take it to your local parts place to have them test it?
I used one of these, but a wire brush or sand paper will work just fine:

i'll check to see if i got one there. i cleaned the one at the trans and a small one on the firewall.

I got it going. It was the neg cable. Undone the aftermarket end and it was black and green. Starts fine now so far the wife drives it to work now her comute is shorter than mine.
