1973 Rochester 2 barrel on '89 Kick. Still needs a little tuning, but it works good so far.
-
That's pretty cool. Did it bolt right up or did you have to build an adapter plate?
-
I made an adapter plate. Look close, it is made of two tubes and two plates. If you wanted to, the holes are close enough they could probably be slotted in the Rochester and it would work, but the carb might not hold up to the machining. Seems to be a good carb for the motor. I am going to have to open up the intake manifold under the carb since the holes are not the same size. Haven't had enough miles on it yet for a good MPG rating.

necessity is the mother of invention,
good job!
I've toyed with the idea of mounting a set of motorcycle carbs on a 1.3.
Using a suzuki intake and set of 4 carbs.
-
I completely missed that. For some strange reason I was thinking about side drafts. :P
4 carbs? That is going to be a pain tuning. They use carbs from Harley's on one of the Zor kits I believe.
-
I thought about a 4 carb setup, but I was picturing a 1 carb per cylinder deal. I agree it would be a pain to get adjusted, but hey, if you have or find a set of carbs, go for it!
This Rochester flows real well, has crisp throttle response, and I still have a major restriction since I haven't matched the manifold to the carb yet.
