I'm trying to find a write up on what what emissions and smog components can be removed from my 86' samurai 1.3L carburetor engine.

IF this engine came with the Hitachi Carburetor/ECM setup found on 87-89 Samurais, there is pretty much nothing that you can remove without screwing up overall carburetor efficiency. It's all an integrated system that runs poorly if modified.
This is probably why you didn't find anything on the topic.
The common "fix" for removing emission stuff (?) is to switch to another carburetor. Currently, the MY-Side/Sidedraft and Weber DGAx 32/36 are the common replacements used.
