A club member did something similar, but then welded it to a solid piece of hitch material to make a removable rear shackle. It looks clean once you grind out the welds. Nice work. :)

Anything but the freeway! I'm hopin' to get 55mph out of it (stock gears, 8V on 33's), but it gets rubber in 1st as you can see iff you look close. 8)

I dont think 55mph should be a problem.
I have the 8v too, but i also have a header and custom intake, so that might help.
