Title: lowest stock RP gears
Post by: v-stone on March 14, 2008, 11:00:55 PM: I'm running 5.12:1 RPs in my kick with 33" tires. Took it wheel'n for the first time for more than 5min. and realized the need for lower gears.

What is the lowest RP gears that came in a sidekick and how can I find them (hopefully used).

I can help you locate a pr, but expect to pay about $350 each. there is a product that Brent at Trail Tough sells that might interest you, PM lostsamurai and ask him about the adapter to run a sami tcase... it has the high range reduction...

Post by: olija on March 16, 2008, 12:49:05 PM: If I was running 33's I would probably just go with the 2WD tranny/ Sammy case or the OTT Kicker 2/3/whatever it is. Unless you personally know someone with a first-year Sidekick laying around, it's going to be harder than the search for the Holy Grail.

Post by: lostsamurai on March 19, 2008, 10:39:59 PM: trail tough has these adapters for 75 bones this gives you the option to use a 4wd trans, just remove the t case take off the back plate have a shop press the seal in put it back the put in a sami divorced case and have an intermediate shaft made to fit between, your welcome to check mine out I run a 4 speed auto sidekick trans with a sami case filled with 6.5:1 gears. next im doing this to my two trackers!

Post by: aftermarket4x4 on March 20, 2008, 05:23:03 AM: A customer of mine has a set of complete 5.62 3rd members with new Lock-Right locker in the rear ready to drop in.... Last I heard he wanted $900 for both 3rd members in perfect condition which includes the new locker.

I know how hard these are to find and just figured I would mention it. E-mail me directly if someone wants them and I wil provide his phone #. He is losing quite a few $$$ on them but just found out he is having a baby and needs to sell the whole setup.
