Title: Whats it called ? the thin rod that hooks from track to track under seat
Post by: thcrw739 on December 02, 2007, 05:07:57 PM: Well i just ought this 97 side kick & ofcourse finding little suprises i didnt think to check to begin with..

As the topic says im not sure what to call it..,
its the thin rod that goes from right track to the left track that allows both track locks to release to move the seat forward & backwards wehn the lever is pulled upward

Any one no what its called a p[art number or may even have one...and info would be gladly taken

Post by: ROSS on December 02, 2007, 09:14:18 PM: i went to the hardware store and got a 1/4" rod for a few bucks . made my own . eliminating the plastic ends. all you need is a vise and a hammer. then drill and cotter-pin the ends. a whole lot stronger than stock. cost me less than ten bucks and took less than an hour.

Its called a "Front seat wire" ...lol for real thats what they have the part as in the computer....
