Suzuki recalls 75,000 cars
American Suzuki Motor Corp. is recalling about 75,000 cars built for the 2006 and 2007 model years because they have front seat-belt buckles that may not stay latched. The affected models are the Forenza and Reno.

Thank God I bought the Aerio then.
So hard to tell who makes what these days.
But the Aerio looked to be Pure Zuk.
So I bought one. ;D
But why would Suzuki put there badge on a Daewoo, woo?
Korean made?

I think the US government is trying to make it hard for foreign manufacturers by making over stringent smog laws and over the top safety features required(how many air bags do new cars have now? I know there is more than 2). That is why we cant get rugged vehicles like the Land Rover Defender and Toyota landcruiser 78 series, along with many other vehicles (including passenger cars) that have diesel engines. They claim that light duty cars and trucks with diesel engines dont meet smog requirements, event though they make less emmissions and get much better fuel economy. That cant be said for most of our domestic manufacturers cars and trucks, but the government doesnt do anything about that. They are just trying to keep the domestic manufacturers (aka the big 3) from going extinct, even though they create an inferior product.

We get Daewoos over here. They're sold as Chevrolets.
