Title: Just picked up my 98 4d tracker auto. Tire ? Gear?
Post by: casper 98 on October 08, 2006, 07:53:04 AM
I paln on getting 3 inch calmini suspension lift, but I need tires first plan on getting rims. What should I get.  I would like to get 30X9.5 on 15 inch rim with 3.5 backspacing.  Should I wait to get both at the same time. What gears do I have? What should I replace them with? I will post pictures later today. thank for the info.

the 30's wont fit unless you lift it or chop the sh** out of the fenders. i know 235/75r15's will fit a stock 2 door, but i think you might need to do minor trimming to fit them on a 4 door. or you could always buy the cheapest stock size tires you can find until you can get your lift and 30's.

I think I will wait till I can get the tires and the lift, it might be a month or two but it will be worth the wait.  Can any one tell me how far the tires would stick out of the wheel wells with 30x9.5 with 3.5 B.S.

i have 31's on 15x8's with 3.25" backspacing and 1" spacers. they stick out farther than i thought they would, but you should be fine with 3.5", if it doesnt hit the frame. i think someone told me that 2.75-3" of backspacing is ideal for oversized tires on a lifted zuk, but im not 100% sure about that.

15 by 7 inch rims with a 3.5" backspacing JUST clear the wheel well edge on mine.  I wouldnt go any wider than that if you dont feel like chopping it up.
