Title: Hopeful Samurai Newbie Needs Purchasing Advice
Post by: Davkin on September 22, 2006, 07:25:01 AM
I'm looking to join the Suzuki Samurai clan.  I hope to buy an older one, ''85-'88, (I wanna stick with a carb.)  I'm not gonna go extreme with the buildup, I just want to do some cheap, fun off-roading.  Therefore, I don't want to spend a bunch of money on repairs, I want to buy one that is in good operating condition.  What things should I look for to make sure I don't end up with a money pit?

Thanks

David

if your looking for something that is stock its kinda hard to find a lemon.  I mean as long as it hasnt had drastic mods performed by someone who doesnt know what they are doing your probly alright.  These things run forever.  I'd stay away from anything with a lot of rust though.  Check the "garage sale" forum...
