No, I do not get made fun of, and no, people do not laugh at me.
-
I haven't had anyone make fun of me to my face either, which is a SHOCK, as i'm a rather LARGE person.... When someone does ask I just tell them thats it's a GEO TRACKER... It may look rough but when ya tell them ya get around 30 miles to the gallon with a 4x4 it shuts them up in a hurry...... ;D
-
No, I do not get made fun of, and no, people do not laugh at me.
That's because you know all the good places to hide the bodies......lol
People around here rarely make fun of my ride and actually mean it. I get some good natured ribbing from the mud truck guys, but that's about it. And I defantly give them just as much crap back!
-
heh, heh, heh... Yeah, there are a lot of abandoned mines in the county where I live!
I get some wild looks from the Joopers who just put 30's under their Wranglers, and think they are extreme... They look UP at the Gnewt, and say "what the heck IS that?" I have to admit, it looks pretty gnarly on 33's.

-

oddly enough, all it suzuki guys i know who actually wheel their trucks are big guys. i got one guy i know whow is 5 foot nothing and drives a 3/4 ton chevy, 6 inch lift , 35" tires. looks funny as hell when he gets into it. maybe hes trying to make up for something? or are we just showing we dont have make up for anything by driving small light weight 4x4s?

First off.
If anybody gives me lip about mine I look and see what their driving.
It's always ends up being a POS.

I park mine around back of the warehouse I work in next to the loading docks. The other day some customers were back there to pickup some doors from me. As I walked up they were both looking at the Tracker and laughing. I'll admit it does look silly with the itsy bitsy 215's it has on right now but I get the goofy looks a lot anyways. Funny part was as we were loading the doors onto their work truck I came to realize they were two of the slowest minded individuals I had met in a long time.
Derrrr.....lift...derrr...football...derrr...whoops...mustn't hit truck with door...drrr...lunchbreak...derrr...boobies...
I mean, truely simpleminded. :P
With mine it seems like it's the trailer trash or the kids with their hats on backwards always laughing at it. Eh. Hope they don't breed. ::)
-
The fact that I can just open the top up on mine tends to take care of anyone making fun of mine. And the SJ just looks to cool to make fun of. ;D
6'4 and 215lb myself. I did have to relocate the seat on the SJ back a few inches though to fit my legs. The Tracker fits just perfect though.
-
anybody heard of small man syndrome? where small guys buy big trucks to look tuffer. iuse to have it (5'10" 130 tops) drove a suburban.
-
I think I blew it for you guys, I'm 5'8" and about 175lbs and drive a tracker, so not everyone is big driving these things. I can't say that I've had anyone laugh at me, maybe you guys are too sensitive eh!!! ;D
Most people smile and seem to like it, especially with the new tires. Kids love it when you drive by, they usually wave.
