Title: What's your best under $25 mod?
Post by: keith on June 09, 2006, 08:21:48 AM
I saw this done on a Jeep forum and it was very intersting.  What the best under $25 mod you have done to your Zuk?

Mine would have to be my safari top made from a junkyard top.  It allows me to have the topless effect just by folding each half and strapping it.  Also allows the driver area to be watertight overnight easily.

My Vit (old shape Track/Kick) has the later style dash with no grab handle. There are threaded holes above the passenger door. An old SJ inner door pull fits nicely.

I would say my sniper vail(7.00,the green looking thing on the back of the safari top) keeps the dust out, and my four mud flaps.

I think I paid $10 for the CB and $10 or so for the antenna at a garage sale.

Put it into the ashtray hole, using the ashtray mount bracket. perfect fit, $25.00 dashmount CB install.

Remove swaybars...generally free except for time, effort, cussing, and maybe some knuckle skin

The strut mount flip would be right behind that free mod

Eh, I have air tools and a 60 gallon compressor.  Makes for shot work of stuff...however the swaybar on these things is hard to get at from certain angles.

Anybody want a GV's swaybar?

My best sub-$25 mod has to be the 8 lug Dana44 front axle and 14 bolt full-float rear axle I have under my Tracker right now :D

I'd have to say the camber bolts that are on thier way from boondox. my camber has always made the tires wear crappy and not only will these make the proper camber possible with the lift I'm doing but I will finally have even tread wear for when I get some good tires

I think they are $20

soon to be installed
