Title: Zukiworlders unite
Post by: LawDog on January 10, 2005, 01:17:40 PM
Hey, nobody's really come out and posted their locales here.  It would be a great help to organizing trail runs, sharing places to wheel, and parts swap.  Yeah it says in our profiles sometimes but not always, and I think a "directory thread" would help.  For those concerned with safety we'll be generic.  Follow my example if you will.

Western New York.

If we could get some bio's filled, maybe we can get Eric to get them in the members link. Then sort according to state. Nah, that would be too easy.

I live in Cocoa Beach Florida.  The only place I have found to wheel is the Ocala National Forrest, about two hours from here in central Florida.  After reading how far some the other Zukiworlders have to go to wheel, maybe that is not so bad.

That rock is decomposed granite,
and the pic is tilted, look at the weed
in the foreground, it should be straight up.

I was the only one to get on the rock, then
hold and pose for a pic   8)

The rock comes apart and the pieces are
like little roller bearings that slide you down
to the bottom

How's the snow up there?  Yankee hill doesn't have enough to be a challenge, while Kingston Peak has... well as much as it usually does - lots of deep stuff.

How's the snow up there?

Well, I ran the snow-blower yesterday about noon - 8 inches or so of wet, heavy stuff, then this morning we had about a foot and a half of new stuff.  Got in to work about 9:30.  I was too sick to go on a snow run up Yankee Hill Saturday.
