Title: Question for those with aftermarket springs
Post by: 2K1USGV on April 26, 2006, 08:30:06 AM
My question is regarding the spring rate of aftermarket springs compared to that of stock. I have installed 2" spring spacers in the rear and although I got a lift I also apparently increased the spring rate. So now the rear is really hard on bumps. I have rancho 5000's installed in the rear so that should soften the ride but it's still too hard. I want to go to a softer spring and I don't know if OME will do the trick?

Which model do you have?

Adding spacers can increase the rate but the problem may actually be the valving of your shocks.
