Hello, this is my first post on this board. I have a 95 sidekick with the 16v motor. I plan on adjusting the valves but according to the manual they recommend a "special tool". What is this special tool.
Thanks

12mm wrench (8V is 12 mm), a feeler
guage with bent tips and a screwdriver,
I'm sure you'll do fine with these
Ohh, and welcome to the board ;D
Wild

Welcome aboard ;D
I think the "special tool". is just a money thing.
I did mine and didn't even know I needed one. ;D

yup thats what i would say wild!

Going through the FSM, I would say this is true about most of their "special tools".
Oh, look - you need a left handed 12.7mm 30º offset bifurcated ambihelical hexnut extraction tool.
Hmm, looks like vise-grips will work on that!

Me too ...

I'd bet a bent, open-ended, 12mm wrench that's been well used would work too

Lol, 12.7mm, yeah that sounds like a typical Japanese 'metric' measurement. I get a lot of them at work. 12.7mm, 25.4mm, 6.35mm ;D ;D
