You might want to buy/borrow/use a GPS to compare actual speed to indicated speed. From what I've read on here these things are famous for being a bit slower than they indicate from the factory. I've heard several comments about 235's and 30's making speedos indicate correctly. I'm inclined to beleive this theory because with the stock gears and 31's my Tracker still didn't indicate what you'd think from the difference between 31's and 205's.

my 91 with the winter tires (235's) reads correct speed according to my gps. i have not driven it with my 31's and the gps yet so i don't know how much of a difference there is.
derek

Use this calculator to find your speed with different tires:

I run 30's on mine and it's dead-on accurate; knowledge gained thanks to one of the local jurisdictions who have those radar carts along the side of the road. ;D

mine has 215/75r15 tires on it, and its speedometer is exactly in sync with the vehicles actual speed. BTW, what kind of gps do you recommend getting. My friend has the Magellan Map330, and I noticed that ZW had an article about how they recommended it, but magellan stopped making it, and I dont know which one took its place. I can find them on ebay, but I dont want to take the chance of buying a non working one.
