SO how long are my LTBs going to have that damn
flat spot in them ??? I've put about 30 miles on them
and still go bump bump >:(
Well they have been sitting for 10 months with 8 PSI
in them, but are they doomed to have flat spots forever

The old trick with Bias tires is to move the rig a couple of inches about an hour befor you drive it, you might have to go to about three pounds and drive it and get them hot then air back up.
-
Good to hear it's up and running again Wild.......
Zag
-
Has it got the 16V in it now?
-
No, the 16V head is going on after
I fab up the new header, for now
I have it together in 8V form to get
it smog checked
-
Do you pull the turbo pre-smog? Or do they even care?
-
I pull the pressure side loose, just in case,
but I can get it passed with the turbo installed
-
thought i was slow . arbs come next week. about time you got her runnin. its only been a year

Hey Wild... been thinkin' long & hard 'bout what you said bout turbos and am interested in how your build-up went... whether you're EFI or carbed and how did you manage the lean??

OEM EFI + MegaSquirt EFI MPI injection system to
handle the fuel chores under boost.
http://wildcatent.freeyellow.com/zookmods
for a buildup and how I did the origional system.
I have had 3 failures of turbo manifolds, the current system
need to have a EGT sensor installed, Narrow Band O2 just
is not accurate enough to use in a turbo application, the reason
I melted a piston too :(

Is the EGT for megawideband?
-
EGT doesn't interface with the MSII,
it's just a tuning aid for teh narrow
band O2, as it doesn't read well at
boost and at other than 14.7:1 AFR

so are you using to monitor the temperature of the narrowband sensor or for tuning?
-
Tuning, high EGT shows a lean condition,
and will help get the AFR to the right mix
for best power

Good to hear your back on the road again 8) So are you taking her to Moab this year?
