Year long project coming to an end

For those that dont venture far from ZW here are a few pics over the past week as we finish up...
Lights installed and the new Baja Claws are on.. the motor miss is taken care off, WOW scratch -n- the gears..
This rig was a complete ground up build, and yes no expense was spared if it is not marked by a MFG we made it here in the shop.

Well the end is drawing near and it has been a fun filled year with this project. But all good things most come to an end. We shall be heading down the week of April 5 to deliver the rig to its new garage. Here are a few shots of some finishing points..
Oh But I will mention now BUILD 02 is already in the planning stages... STAY TUNED

Bright [censored] head lights
High Beams and mini spots




Low beams and spots


Even the wires get detail


Rear shock brace






Crap pic but it is a skid 3/16" that will get a UHMW coating 3/8" thick (cutting board material is what it looks like)


1" wheel spacers all the way around


Flush mounted Touch switch in center councel for the camera's


Front shock x-over brace powder caoted


power steering Cooler


Plumbed in -AN 8 fittings and S/S Aeroquipt

that's a great looking truck....but who needs bumper cameras on a 4x4? i would be more worried about what is in front of me, not behind me.

The rigs original intention was for night hunting coyote. The owner likes his toys as do we all. So he kept adding things as we wetn along. It will be an all in one rig the suspension we built will handle anything you could throw at it, and it rides like a caddy. The 4.3,700r4,toy case combo will defiantley hold up to some abuse. As for the night cameras they will come in handy for hunting night prey. The corbue seats are comfy but hard to turn around and look toward the rear, So just look a tthe dash and view it al in a 7" LCD monitor...

dang i bet it weighs like 3k lbs with all that armour, reminds me of in high school in the eighties people would go to kragens and buy all those neon colored accessories and boomarang antennas to put on their car....the quality of work is outstanding dont get me wrong but i think the exterior cage over the wheel flares is one of the straws that broke the camels back.

You are entitled to your opinion, I just build to what the owner describes... As far as weight it is less the 3000#

Yep, when you build something for someone else, you pretty much go with what they want. You can make some suggestions here and there, but it all comes down to whos writing out the checks..... Very nice craftsmanship by the way.

What was the build cost? If you can say...

Yep, when you build something for someone else, you pretty much go with what they want. You can make some suggestions here and there, but it all comes down to whos writing out the checks..... Very nice craftsmanship by the way.

Well if I had it since April last yr and have a $60.00 hr shop rate... HMMMMMM More them most have in there home. But again Detail's cost money. I could have cobbled it together and got the same result at a lower cost but I dont work like that.

While I have been fine tuning stuff Bob finished the skid plate...


Tapered bung to hold the main center bolt


What you dont see is the opposite side all the attachment points, to mount it to the truck
