Anyone been playing with one of these? I have the oportunity to purchase one. Looks like all the Kick mods should apply?

I wish. If ya got a good price on one, I'd get it.
It's the same frame as the SideKicks. so the lifts would be the same.

Thanks Hotrod. Looks like there is some potential there. It would be good to build something up along the lines of Mike Hagen's Kick out of one- OH YEAH!!!

I never thought the X-90 was a brotherine of the Kick when it first came out..
Wish I had one now. Just to have one.
But right know,
I'll have to live with my 2dr and my 4dr.
Mmmmmmmm I may have room for an X-90, If I ever run across one for sale.

Hi Utah tracker. The front end is something I built up using Sammy / Kick stuff. Believe it or not, the centre diff is a kick 5.13:1 with lockrite, axles are 4340 custom made by a guy over here in NZ ( trail tough can do them for you ) and the CV's are sammy with birfield cups.
It is all hanging together fine so far. Trail Tough build their "Double tough" axles and these could be used by you guys in the States.Use the rear diff and housing from a Kick and mate the Sammy knuckles to it.
It is working for me, but then again I am do not have a heavy foot.   The diff is centre mounted to reduce drive shaft travel and reduce UJ angles ( it has plenty of flex )

Zeus, X-90's are highly sought after here in the states.  Because of a limited availablility.  They demand a few more $$ than kicks, but I understand the suspension is similar, but a shorter wheelbase(X-90 guys correct me if I am wrong)  I, like some of the others here would love to have one, just to have one.  I think it is like a final Renaissance for the Samurai.  Kick technology and all, but it is a shorter ?wheel based? two seater.  If the price is right and you have the cash to spend...GET IT!

This is a Pic of Dan's ride (One of Hagens friends, go figure ) It had the modified Calmini 3+3 lift and 35's on it. I believe he got rid of it though.



This is my daliy driver 98 X-90. It has the calmini 2" sispension lift and TrailTough wheel spacers (1.5") I have not wheeled it much (that is what the Kick is for). MOST of the Sidekick/Tracker Mods will work on the X-90 but some may need to be modified to work correctly.

You may have a little trouble finding one for sale but if you do grab it quick. I looked for months and still had to drive two states to bring my 98 home.

Man Zig, that's a nice daily driver! I want one when my Trailblazer lease is done.  There's only like three or four I've seen driving around in my area.  How much did that one cost ya, if you don't mind me asking?

Well gentlemen - the eagle has landed. I have secured my X90! Ye ha.
Our local Suzuki dealer over here is very particular about his vehicle presentation, he even replaced the door seals on both sides because he thought the originals looked "a bit faded"! This truck is a mint original one and has never seen the dirt. The dealer sold it when it was brand new so he has all the history on it. I even got 12 months maintenance free running - they pay for all the road warrant of fitness, any parts and all the service requirements ( oil and all ). Awesome!!! I will post some pic's soon, but be warned it is STOCK.

When I get around to doing a tub swap, I'd love to throw one of these on my frame... that would be pretty slick. I even saw one in the paper locally (surprised the hell out of me) for really cheap.

It was colse to 6K. (about a grand under full retail at the time). I thought it was pricy but it was what I wanted, so I drove to IN and bought it (It was also the first one I forun within a reasonable distance after searching for a while). I've had it a couple of years now and love it.
