will Jeep tires fit sidekick?
« on: September 18, 2009, 08:55:26 AM »
Hello,
I have a 93 sidekick with the 2" coil spacer lift and was wondering if 30 x 9.5 x 15 tires from a Jeep will fit?
A friend of a friend of a friend is selling these pretty cheap with the rims from a 94 jeep.
Does anyone know if the tires will fit my sidekick? How about the rims? He sent me a picture and they are 5 lug so this would be a great deal if they fit. thanks!!

If the wheels are off of a '94 jeep they will not fit. Older Jeep patterns are the same. You are looking for a "5 on 5.5" pattern. Found on CJ Jeeps, Ford 1/2 tons, some Dodge pickups, and of course Suzuki Samurai, Sidekick, early Vitara, and Trackers.

Good luck, Eric

Hi, thanks for the info Eric.
Bummer the rims wont fit.
But do you know if these tires will fit on my stock sidekick rims?
If so I will make an offer for just the tires.
Thanks again.

They might be a bit wide for the stock rims.  I know the stock rims are 5.5 inches wide and a 235/75/15 is larger than recommended for the stock rims.  I think the 235/75/15's are 28.9 tall by 9.3 wide.  That said the 235/75/15's do fit the stock rim so your size might since it is only slightly larger.

Yeah, they'd fit good. With the narrow width of the stock wheels, the tires would be on there real tight and you wouldn't have to worry about poppin' a bead. I run like that on my GI Jane Samurai.

those tires will fit real nice on the tracker and I'd normally run them on 8" rims but you'll be able to run with the stock ones.  If you can find a set of 8's with a little offset then it'll be best but if you're on a budget then go for it.
