which full width axles?

i am looking into swapping some nice stable full width axles on my sami but didnt know which would work the best, d44, 9in.? which would be good WIDE axles for it i live in santa fe new mexico and need stability on the sidehills and the strength of big axles for the rocks around here

if it were me, probably dana 44 front, and 12 bolt GM rear. maybe a 10 bolt rear. depending on just how tough you need.

I think it's a 1978 or 1979 F150 4x4.  They got the BIG spling 9" rear, and a reverse spiral, Hi-pinion 44 in the front.  Some even have a 1/2" DOM tube (like the ones we got for Yankee Bob's ZJ).  You can swap out knuckles for flat-tops, but those are the most desirable full widths.  And on sammy, bullet proof.

However, the diff locations are nowhere close to where you'd want them. :P

Go with old waggy D44's IMHO.

ok thanks how do you guys feel about the spidertrax sidewinder axles? i have seen pic on sky mfg's website showing a sami running 38's on those with 27 spline axles what do you think of em.

The sidewinders are a great axle, however, for what your looking for, I'd say dana 44's from a waggy with chromo axles for peace of mind.  Stock 44's are 30 spline and to be had for much cheaper than the built sidewinders.  If you want real strength, go 60's and never look back!!!   ;D

how hard is the swap for the d44? and are those both front and rear axles from the wagoneer i use or just the front? how abou the spider 9's? sorry so many questions
