i run the winch , lights , and all other acceries off the second batt. so i can run it dead and start the motor off the main

im also running a yellow top, winch, 2 100watt lights, electric fan and stereo with a 10" sub and it works mint.

Wow, this is an OLD thread!!


I love Optimas

I had a full size chevy, and it caught fire and burned (prior owner hillbilly engineering...)

the Yellow Top burned right along with it...

Take a look




After the fire was out, and the hulk cooled down, I decided to check the Optima...

The side posts had melted clean off....

but the optima still held a charge!!  (My meter reads 20% HIGH...don't ask)




Amazing, I put it in my van, as it was, and it lasted another few months before enough gel finally leaked out, and the battery corroded and it lost it's charge in two cells, it still held a charge in the other 4, but not enough to use, so I tossed it...

Optimas are AMAZING batteries.
