In this pic it is under the thermostat, next to the temp switch.  It has 2 wires going into it.

Sorry but the rest of us are seeing a model year selection page at that link.

What year and model?

Making a giant assumption here - if it is a 1.6 16-valve - there are two sensors there.  A single wire sensor for the dash temp meter and a double-wire switch for the Air Conditioning system.  Here is a pic I got searching for a 96 Tracker and selecting engine sensors - intake manifold:

If I told you how I got the picture to appear in this post, I'd have to kill you...

Okay, I'm kidding.

Right click on the picture in question
Select Properties at the bottom of the resulting menu.
Highlight the COMPLETE link that appears in the middle of the new window that appears
Press control-c to copy the URL link to your PC's clipboard.
Return to the original post message window.
Create a picture link using control-v to paste the link from your PC's Clipboard into the picture link.

Go to a test forum and try this technique!

I tryed the copy/paste thing when I posted it.  It wouldn't work, so I posted the link.  I guess that didn't worh either. ???

Its on a 87 Samurai.
Under the thermostat, next to the temp switch.  It has 2 wires going into it.

If you still can't find it, I will take a pic & host it on my site after I get home.

The link works now!

You are talking about the sensor directly below the thermostat (1)? It isprobably the AC temp sense switch on the Samurai too.  The AC system documentation is hard to find.

I took a look at Dice's color Samurai wiring diagram (search for diagram at Ack's FAQ) and discovered that there IS a thermal switch that is connected to the ECM.  The wire colors running to it are Green-Red tracer and Black-Green tracer.  If those are the colors of the wires running to the unit, that is what it is!

I can't find the pic now, but I found one that said it was an air temp sensor.  It looks like its in the coolent, but maybe its not.
