Im wonderin whats the stock rims offset cause my 235 are not sticking out at all.

I was thinking of gett some 15x7 and a -12 or 0 oddset so i can get a bit more stability.

So im debating 0,-6 , -12  for a offset

Offset and Backspace are two different
measurements, backspace is from where
the wheel mounts to the Trucklet to where
the bead on the tire seats, this and the rim
width will be what determins how far out the
tires will be of the wheel well, offset is the
distance from the wheel mount surface to where
the center of the wheel is welded to the outer
rim, if I remember that right, Somebody correct
me if I got that wrong.

235s fit very well on stock rims, and I see no need
to get differernt rims unless like you said you want
more stability, however, the SideKick has a wider stance
and a longer wheelbase to counter the "easy roll over"
problem brought on by CRs lies *friggen b|removethispart|@$+|removethispart|@rd$*

Stock backspacing is 110mm which is about 4 1/4" for a Track/Kick. A Sammi is 95mm which is about 3 3/4". I run 33 x 9.5s MTs on the 95mm backspacing on my Track/Kick and the tread is just covered. If I had the MTRs then the side lugs would probably be counted as tread and it wouldn't be road legal.

Offset is the distance from the centerline of the rim to the wheel mounting surface. Positive offset means the mounting surface is towards the outside of the wheel as seen on many modern cars while negative offset is towards the inside of the wheel as seen in wheels with little backspacing. It is specified in millimeters and 'p' for positive eg. 25p  on a 7" rim  would be equivalent to 4.5" backspace measured from the inner edge of the rim to the mounting surface.

The stock 15x5.5 rims had a 25p offset or 3.75" backspace.

I just want better stabilty in the winter i ordered some fender flares and a 3" lift so i wonder if i widen the stance 1" on each side if it would be a bit more stable in the winter.

I fitted 1 1/4" wheel spacers and the difference in stability was quite amazing. It handled the same as it did when it still had a sway bar

Since you are talking about wheels, what wheels from another vehicle will fit an '89 Kick?  I too have a stock vehicle but want some tire height and stability.  Since I'm interested in traction and some height, what is the largest tire that will fit in those wheel wells?

most 5 lug fords do.  you might have to cut some of the center out of it to make it fit the hud.  tracker bolt padden is 5 on 5 1/2.

That would be older Ford trucks, and the
after market wheels fit the hubs fine no
trimming stock wheels might need opening
