Guys i want to fit 34s or 35s into my rig. im currently running 3+3 with 32" tires. i was hoping to tweak a couple more inches from the kit without sacrificing my cv angles. (lowering the a-arm?)

Not by tweeking, takes a bit more work to get

diff is too low for driveline.

What rubber are you looking at running, more Simex? Those Simex ET's in a 32" measure about 33.5" as it is.

i was thinking of running 34 or 35 boggers.

im using toy ifs/solid axle rear w/ 5.71 r&ps ratio. im also looking into 4.24:1 t-case reduction so i think gearing shouldnt be a problem.

my front diff has already been "dropped". i think i should look into lowering the a-arms since the downtravel for the front end w/ the stock mounting is already very limited. has this been tried?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. The limitation to downward travel is strut travel, you could lower the struts further and sacrifice upward travel. You could do a Procomp style lowering of the wishbones BUT the diff would have to be lowered further than it is now to get a reasonable angle on the CVs

What about adding some 2" coil spacers to the springs?  I have a friend who did that on his two door, and was able to fit 33's very easily.   He's had it built like that for nearly 3 years, with no issues...He's running the stock alum. housing as well....

I'm going to do that with my four door once my calmini kit arrives.   I'm already running the 2" TJ spacers....

I wanted more lift also. I added those cool spring spacers from Boondox which worked good. They are shaped to fit the coil of the spring and are made of polyurethane. They are called 1.5" spacers but I think I got a bit more than that out of them as my Tracker now sits 10" taller than stock on 31s. The tires account for 2", the body lift = 3" which means 5" suspension. I have been wheeling it hard and so far the stock front drivetrain is holding up.

Measure those Simex you have...  like was said above, they run big... AND boggers run small (or at least SOME of them do...).. you might find that 33-34 inch boggers (not sure which sizes they come in, without looking...) are the same size and will fit as is.

As far as I know Boggers don't come in a 34". The 35x10.5-16 is a 34.8" x 11.2". The 35x14.5 is getting pretty wide for you and you will need new rims. Simex offer the ET in a 35x10.5-16 at 34.9" x 12" and they also have the ET2 with the 3 lug centre 35x11.5-16 at 35.5" x 12.6". Do you have the Silverstone Xtreme there? They do a 35x 10.5-16.

Hi Quaddawg. Yup simex tires are generally taller than their listed diameter.

i just want to run bigger tires around 34-35" with no tire yet in particular. boggers just came into mind.

i think by adding spring spacers i might stress out my cv axles. i had already broken 3 aluminium housings and 1 cv so im gonna be more cautious. although upgrading to toy ifs i might have already solve this problem. still...

i have seen a lot of pics here, modified calmini ifs running 35-37" tires! how did they do that?!?

I would cut the frame at the horn like I did in the rockstar artical. Instead of moving it forward just cut and drop it 2 inches, and replate the sides.

What rear shocks are you running on your rig?  I'm running 2" Jeep TJ coil spacers, and will be adding the Calmini 3" this week.  I didn't buy Calmini's shocks (as they were out of stock, and I've heard they're not the best), so I want to buy some that will allow the maximum droop possible before the spring wants to come out.   Any suggestions?  I'd prefer a hydro to a gas charged....
