Tracker t-case swap question
« on: May 14, 2010, 05:33:26 AM »
I have a 2000 Tracker w/ 2.0 5 speed that I am wanting to swap an early Tracker (89) 5 speed into.  I know about the custom flywheel I will need but my question is will my t-case out of my 2000 swap onto the 89 5 speed?  (splines the same, etc?)

Let me know,

Thanks!

E.

I know the tcase output shaft splines are different on the 89 vs. the 2k.  Not sure if the tcase will even bolt up to a 2k tranny...since I am not real familiar with 99 and up trackicks.

I can deal with the output shafts being different because I have the driveshafts from the 89.  Almost positive they wil bolt up to each other, just wanted to confirm the output of the tranny & input of the t-case are the same.  The 99 & up 2.0 4wd tranny is really hard to come by & when you find one it is very $$$.

Thanks
