PR: ASMC Achieves Best February Sales in 18 years
« on: March 02, 2005, 12:54:40 AM »
BREA, Calif. (March 1, 2005) - American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) continues to achieve strong sales, posting an 18 percent increase in February 2005 sales compared to the same month last year. ASMC sold 6,164 units for the month, making February its thirteenth consecutive month of rising sales, including three months of best-ever sales in 2004. Year to date, Suzuki sales are up 17 percent over 2004.

Suzuki's February 2005 sales qualify as the best February on record since 1987. Leading the way this month were the XL-7 SUV, with an 85 percent increase over the same month last year, and the Forenza models, achieving a 34 percent increase.

Evidence of Suzuki's growth is further illustrated by a recent R.L. Polk report showing that Suzuki vehicle registrations increased 47.8 percent in 2004 over 2003, the largest percentage increase of all manufacturers selling vehicles in the United States.

Fueling Suzuki's record sales is a rapidly expanding product line featuring the addition of two new vehicles to the 2005 family: the five-door compact Suzuki Reno and versatile Forenza Wagon. These products, combined with the growing network of more than 540 U.S. dealers, America's #1 Warranty, Suzuki's industry-leading, 100,000-mile, fully transferable, zero-deductible powertrain limited warranty, continue to strengthen the Suzuki brand.

I was thinking of building killer neon coupe sleeper, to play with at the strip. But that little Aerio would be bad ass turbo'd. I didn't realize they have AWD. I don't know anything about the drivetrain but I has a tad over 150HP stock NA, So over 225 or so wouldn't be unreasonable. I wouldn't think it would be too much. Probably get that with less than 10lbs boost. Kinda ugly though. Id rather find a Swift GT but there getting rare around here.

This is why Im thinking of going with the neon.

That would be cool, but I'm callind BullShit on the linked web page. 600HP running through a campletely stock Neon Motor (with exception pistons and rods)  for 45,000 miles without being touched, YEA RIGHT. Maybe if they built it, dyno-tested it a 600hp and never got into the turbo again where it was just sitting dorment:-/

But there Kits looked sweet and reasonable, I just think they over did the braging talking about the 600hp neon. :-/

Is there companies out there that sell kits like this for suzuki compacts? I've never looked, but if ther is I'd bet they can me adapted to a Kick/Sami :-/

Why doesn't the Verona sell??

I haven't seen any on the road up here either.

I think it's a rather nice sedan.  I would love to have one.
