Sammi leaf spring rates
« on: June 06, 2005, 07:26:40 AM »
I couldn't find this anywhere in a forum search.  Does anyone know what the spring rates, front and rear, are for a Sammi, or where I might find that information??

What ya trying ta do? I would look at the max weight carrying capacity of the rig and divide by four, I would guess about 650 lbs each for max weight.dry weight is about 2100 lbs for the rig. mine weights about 2800 fully loaded and there close to max.

Not looking for weight capacity as much as spring rate. How much lbs it takes to compress spring 1".  For ride/flex reasons.

are you looking at fronts and rears?  I run rears up front and the ride is alot better but still stiff, I get about 24" plus of articulation out of it between the front and the rear flexing with spoa and 33's with 2 " back space but the tire size helps more than the springs up front,I'm switching over to yj's soon.
