TSL Radial or Not?
« on: August 25, 2006, 10:19:06 AM »
Ok, im looking into getting either tsl radials (31x10.50x15) or just plain tsl's (31x9.50)

I'm wondering if you guys think that it would be doable to run either of the tsl's on the street as a daily driver?  It will see about 75% street use.  If I put these on I want to get atleast 3 years outa them.
Do you think you could get 55-60k outa these?

What is the price difference inbetween the radial and none radial?
Do the radials last longer then the plain tsl?
I have heard the since zuk's are so light the flat spot in the bias would be minimal and would wear slower then on a heavyer truck.

sorry for so many question
thanks guys

Go with the radial and don't look back, I'm not sure about the 60k thing but mine seem to wear good as long as there balanced good and rotate them all the time, Ihave both radial and bias, the bias ones are for off road only or short hops on road.

i doubt either of those will last that long, but with that much road use, get the radial.

People will tell you they won't last that long but I know two guys who got 50k or so out of sets of TSL Radials under fullsize trucks.  You just have to take care of them.  Keep them rotated, watch the air pressure, don't abuse them (no burnouts and driving like it's Indy) and they should last a good long time.  Especially under a sub-3000-lb Tracker.

i have the 31x9.5 swamper radials on my dd, they're not bad at all on road and are great off road.  smoother and quieter than my cooper muds were.  no idea about mileage as mine are maybe 2k old now..
